Purpose of the job

Responsible for ensuring accurate and complete premium collection through effective controls and procedures and management of staff. To ensure that all premiums collected via various collection methods are receipted and allocated timeously on the policy administration system.

To perform regular, accurate reconciliations between cash received in the bank account compared to source data as well as the policy administration system as well as tracking of unallocated policies.

To support the insurance business through maintenance and servicing of customer policies including refunds and tracking of unallocated policies.

Key Outputs

Financial Management.

  • Review G4s recon to see how much is still in the canisters, collected, banked & not banked.
  • Daily reconciliation of easipol cash receipts against G4s, EFTPOS & bank deposits.
  • Liaise with cash recon administrators and follow up for money not banked at branches.
  • Editing and allocation of payment on cash up reconciliation.
  • Liaise with cash recon administrators for effective cash collection management.
  • Confirm cash up receipts with the bank to see if there are shortages.
  • Liaise with recon administrators to make sure that money is dropped and banked.
  • Confirm & compile weekly recons received from recon administrators.
  • Check bank statement against receipts to make sure monies are banked.
  • Perform collection audit of EFTPOS & G4s receipts to make sure there are no duplicates.

Business Support and Administration

  • Ensure that premium collection manuals are updated regularly.
  • Implement all standard operating procedures for all premium administration process.
  • Facilitates premium collection changes and procedures in conjunction with the operations team.
  • Premium collection administration and maintenance
  • Management of premium collection clerks

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant qualification equivalent to minimum NQF level 6.
  • At least 3 years’ work experience in finance management function.
  • Knowledge of Policy Administration
  • Knowledge of Two Mountains products and services
