Charity begins at home and goes out to everyone

Two Mountains spread joy past Mandela Day this year by supporting worthy initiatives during the month of August in different parts of the country. This Women’s month Two Mountains took the time to celebrate the crowning of Miss South Africa 2022 by joining her homecoming celebration in the Village of Gavaza and contributed to the Umlalazi War Room Women Cooperative. These are some of the charitable acts Two Mountains has contributed to for the month of August.

Two Mountains was invited to celebrate the Homecoming celebration of Phalaborwa’s own Ndavi Nokeri from Gavaza Village, the new Miss South Africa for the year 2022. As Two Mountains we were able to contribute R20 000.00 to her foundation as she continues on her journey to inspire young women around the country. Marketing manager Qiniso Ngema had this to say about the occasion: “The month of August is a celebration of the strength of our woman in the country and it’s just an honour to be in the presence of such a wonderful role model to the youth of this country.” Like her, Two Mountains was born in Phalaborwa and has a long history of excellence in Tzaneen thus we went on to donate tools in the Nwamitwa and Bonn Villages of Tzaneen to help disadvantaged members of the communities.

The corporate social investment function of Two Mountains had a focus on the strength of women in our communities. Beyond the Phalaborwa Celebration Two Mountains donated gardening equipment to the Umlalazi War Room Women Cooperative in Eshowe, working suits to Maraxwe women in farming and Bathing Towels to the senior women of our society through the Itshomeleng Multipurpose Center.

With further support from our communities Two Mountains was able to support more charitable causes such as gardening equipment to Zumane Projects in Nhlungwane. The company also got involved in the comrades marathon by sponsoring a refreshment station and aiding a fellow Phalaborwa native to compete in the race of a lifetime. Our CSI initiatives span sports, culture and community initiatives. Our staff has selflessly assisted the company in identifying those they have deemed to need more than just supportive words and the company has been able to assist many worthy causes along the way. If you or someone you know needs help please feel free to send us your proposal to csi@twomountains.co.za.
